BLOM BANK s.a.l – Headquarters – August 3rd, 2019: BLOM BANK proudly announced the integration of BLOM Mastercard credit and debit cards on BLOMPay, allowing BLOM Mastercard cardholders to make payments via NFC-enabled Android mobile phones with the eBLOM app quickly, safely, and easily.
BLOMPay was launched in August 2017 as the first service of its kind in Lebanon and stands out by being integrated via the eBLOM app. This means that the user does not need to download another application to perform mobile payments. Following the initial launch of the service, all BLOM Mastercard cards, whether debit or credit, can now be used for mobile payments via BLOMPay. The announcement was made at the headquarters of BLOM BANK at an event attended by Mr. Saad Azhari – Chairman and General Manager, BLOM BANK; Mr. Khalid Elgibali – Division President for the Middle East and North Africa, Mastercard; Mrs. Jocelyne Chahwan – Deputy General Manager and Head of Retail Banking, BLOM BANK; and Mr. Ramzy Al Amary –Cluster Manager of Levant, Mastercard.
During his speech at the launching event, Mr. Saad Azhari, Chairman and General Manager of BLOM BANK, said “Today we are proud to announce the integration of Mastercard cards on BLOMPay, which allows any BLOM Mastercard cardholder to make payments via an NFC-enabled Android mobile phone with the eBLOM app. Consequently, BLOM has become the first bank in Lebanon to offer this service to all its cardholders through 1 app, 1 interface, and 1 experience, all conveniently offered through eBLOM. We, at BLOM BANK, have always sought to invest in developing our products and services through banking technology and thanks to this new achievement, we have succeeded once again in continuously providing our clients with the highest level of comfort and convenience.”
